Bank Fraud (Online) in Pakistan
Online bank fraud includes unauthorized internet-banking transfers, card-not-present abuse, and account takeovers. PECA may apply where electronic systems or identity data were misused; your bank’s dispute process remains essential for containment.
Parallel tracks
Treat bank notification and cybercrime reporting as complementary. Section 14 and section 16 of PECA are frequently relevant anchors; investigators act under the investigation framework in sections 29–30 as amended in 2025.
