8. Pro-Rector:___ (1) The Pro-Rector shall be appointed by the Board, and shall act as the Secretary of the Board. (2) In the absence of the Rector he shall act as Rector. (3) The Pro-Rector shall assist the Rector in particular, on matters relating to teaching, research, academic programme and development projects.
