6. Chancellor:___ (1) The President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan shall be the Chancellor of the institute. (2) The Chancellor shall preside over the convocations of the Institute and, in his absence, the Chairman shall preside. (3) Every proposal to confer an honorary degree shall be subject to confirmation by the Chancellor.
