Section 57: Failure to disclose correct information

Any Person who knowingly and willfully provides false, misleading or incorrect information to the Commission whether in an application received under this Act or otherwise in connection with any proceedings under this Act, shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years, or a fine not exceeding five million rupees, or both.
