42. Disputes about membership of Authorities. ___(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Ordinance, a person nominated or elected to an Authority shall cease to be a member of such Authority as soon as he or she ceases to hold the position by virtue of which he or she was elected, appointed or nominated. (2) If a question arises whether any person is entitled to be a member of any Authority, the matter shall be referred to a committee consisting of the Vice-Chancellor, the Judge of the Supreme Court and the nominee of the University Grants Commission who are members of the Syndicate and the decision of the said committee shall be final.
