12. Board of Trustees.___ (1) There shall be a Board of Trustees consisting of the following, namely:— (i) The Chancellor who shall be its Chairperson; (ii) Chairman, University Grants Commission or his nominee not below the rank of an officer of Basic Pay Scale 20; (iii) a retired judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan or a High Court; (iv) a retired vice-chancellor or an eminent scholar; (v) two eminent scientists; (vi) two nominees of the Foundation; (vii) Rector; (viii) one nominee of the Board; and (ix) Secretary, Ministry of Education. (2) Members of the Board of Trustees referred to in clauses (iii), (iv) and (v) shall be nominated by the Foundation. (3) Members of Board of Trustees, other than ex-officio members, shall hold office for three years. (4) The quorum for the meeting of the Board of Trustees shall be one half of total number of the members, a fraction being counted as one. (5) The Chairperson may nominate any member of the Board of Trustees to act as Chairperson in his absence. (6) The Board of Trustees shall meet at least twice in a year on dates to be fixed by the Chairperson.
