1. Short title, extent, commencement and application.___(1) This Ordinance may be called the Employees' Social Insurance Ordinance, 1962. (2) It extends to the whole of Pakistan. (3) It shall come into force at once, but apply only to such areas, classes of persons, industries or establishments, and from such date or dates, as the 1[Federal Government] may, by notification in the official Gazette, specify in this behalf.
