Enquiry and award of Deputy Commissioner.⎯ 2[(1)] On the day so fixed, or on any other day to which the enquiry has been adjourned, the Deputy Commissioner shall proceed to enquire into the objections, if any, which any person interested has stated pursuant to the notice given under section 27, and into the market value of the land and into the respective interests of the persons claiming the compensation, and shall make an award of⎯ (i) the true area of the land; (ii) the compensation which in his opinion should be allowed for the land; and (ii) the apportionment of such compensation among all the persons known or believed to be interested in the land of whom, or of whose claims, he has information, whether or not they have appeared before him. 2[(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Ordinance, where land includes a building or build up property, the Deputy Commissioner may issue t wo separate awards one for the land and another for the building or build up property.]
