Improvements by land-lords on tenancies of occupancy tenants.– (1) Without the previous permission of the Collector, a land-lord shall not make an improvement on the tenancy of a tenant having a right of occupancy. (2) If a land-lord desires to make such an improvement, he may apply to the Collector for permission to make it, and the Collector shall, before making an order on the application, hear the objection, if any, of the tenant. (3) In making an order on an application under sub-section (2) the Collector shall be guided by such rules, if any, as the [Provincial Government] may [* * *] make in this behalf.
