83. Repeals. 4* * * * * * * (2) Where in any enactment or instrument in force at the date of the commencement of this Act, reference is made to Chapter XX (of Insolvent Judgment -debtors) of the Code of Civil Proce dure, 1877 (X of 1877), or of the Code of Civil Procedure 1882 (XIV of 1882), or to any section of either of those Chapters, such reference shall, so far as may be practicable, be construed as applying to this Act or to the corresponding section thereof. 1Subs. by A.O., 1964, Art. 2 and Sch., for “Insolvency (Dacca and the Federal Territory of Karachi) Act ” which had been subs. by the Repealing and Amending Ordinance, 1961 (1 of 1961), s. 3 and 2nd Sch., for “Insolvency (Capital of the Federation and Dacca) Act”. 2The words “and Dacca” omitted by F.A.O., 1975, Art. 2 and Sch. , 3The words and figures “or section 8 of the Lower Burma Courts Act 1900 ” rep. by the Repealing and Amending Act, 1930 (8 of 1930), s. 3 and Sch.
