134. Copy of agreement with crew to be made accessible to the crew.—(1) The master shall, at the commencement of every voyage of engagement, cause a legible copy of the agreement with the crew and, if necessary, a translation thereof in a language understood by the majority of the crew (omitting the signatures), to be placed or posted up in such a part of the ship to be accessible to the crew. (2) Any master who fails, without reasonable cause, to comply with the provisions of sub- section (1) shall, for each offence, be liable to a fine which may extend to five thousand rupees.
