Section 152: Deductions on account of provident fund, etc

152. Deductions on account of provident fund, etc.—(1) Notwithstanding anything contained elsewhere in this Ordinance, or in any other law for the time being in force, a deduction may be made from the wages of a seaman either monthly or at the end of a voyage as applicable in each case, on account of provident fund, pension, social insurance, gratuity or any other fund approved by the Federal Government for the purpose. (2) The Federal Government may make rules with regard to the manner in which the deductions from the wages may be made and the amount of such deductions for the purposes of such fund, and the collection, deposit, withdrawal, administration, disbursement, expenditure and other ancillary matters relating thereto.
