258. Sending of declaration by owner or master.—(1) The owner or master to whom a declaration of survey is given shall, within fourteen days after the date of the receipt thereof, send the declaration to such officer as the Federal Government may appoint in this behalf. (2) If the owner or master fails to comply with the provisions of sub-section (1), he shall be liable to a fine which may extend to five thousand rupees. (3) The penalty imposed under sub-section (2) shall be paid at the time of the delivery of the certificate of survey to the officer appointed under sub-section (1).
