34. Abatement on death of petitioner.—(1) An election petition shall abate on the death of a sole survivor of several petitioners. (2) Where a petition abates under subsection (1) after a Tribunal has been appointed, notice of the abatement shall be given by the Tribunal to the Commissioner.
