Section 36: Power to issue interim determination

Where, during the course of any proceeding under this Act, the Commission is of the opinion that the passing of a final determination in the proceedings is likely to take time and that, in the situation that exists or is likely to emerge, serious or irreparable damage may occur and an interim determination is necessary in the interest of one or more of the parties to the trade dispute, it may, after hearing the party issue an interim determination directing any party to do or refrain from doing or continuing to do any act or thing specified in the interim determination.
