41. Power to allow appointment of employees of the Government, other universities or educational or research institutions to the Institute. ⎯(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the Senate may, on the advice of the Syndicate, allow any post in the Institute to be filled by appointment, on such terms as the Senate may specify, an employee of the Government or any other university or educational or research institution. (2) Where any appointment has been made under this section, the terms and conditions of service of the appointee shall not be less favourable than those admissible to him immediately before such appointment and he shall be entitled to all benefits of his post of service.
