286. Special trade passenger ships to carry medical officers.––Every ship carrying special trade passenger shall be provided with a hospital with such medical stores and equipment as may be prescribed and shall have on board as part of her complement— (a) where the number of special trade passengers carried does not exceed one hundred, at least one medical officer possessing such qualifications as may be prescribed; and (b) where the number of such passenger exceeds one hundred, in addition to a medical officer, such number of medical attendants as may be prescribed.
