34. Commencement of term of office of members of Authority.⎯ (1) When a member of a newlyconstituted Authority is elected, appointed or nominated, his term of office shall commence from such date as may be prescribed. (2) Where a member who has accepted any other assignment or for any other similar reason remains absent from the Institute for a period of not less than six months he shall be deemed to have resigned and vacated his seat.
