1. Short title, extent and commencement.—(1) This Act may be called the Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2012. (2) It shall extend to the Islamabad Capital Territory. (3) It shall come into force on such date and in such areas, as the Federal Government may, by notification in the Official gazette, appoint.
