2. Definition:— In this Act unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context.— (a) “Council” means the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council constituted under this Act; (b) “Member” means a member of the Council; (c) “Register” means the register of veterinary practitioners maintained under section 16; (d) “Regulation” means regulations made under section 23; (e) “Prescribed” means prescribed by regulations; (f) “Veterinary Medicine” means modern scientific medicine and includes surgery and obstetrics, as applicable to animals but does not include human medicine and surgery; and (g) “Veterinary” means animal health and production.
