Online Shopping Fraud
Not every failed online order is a cybercrime — some are civil/consumer matters. Where sellers use fake identities, cloned pages, or electronic deception for wrongful gain, PECA electronic-fraud provisions may become relevant.
Distinguishing dispute types
A late delivery from a known retailer is usually a consumer complaint. A Facebook page that vanishes after advance payment, using stolen photos and a mule wallet, is closer to the electronic-fraud fact pattern under section 14 — still fact-specific.
