Section 45: Jurisdiction to try offences

45. Jurisdiction to try offences.__ The Special Court established under this Act shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to try an offence cognizable under this Act 1[and when trying an offence under this Act, a Special Court may also try in offence other than an offence under this Act when so authorized by Federal Government in this regard and with which the accused may, under the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (Act V of 1898), be charged jointly at the same trial.] 1 Ins. by the control of narcotic substances (Amdt.)
