Section 14: Remova1 of members

(1) Subject to sub-section (2), the appointment of any member or the Chairman may, at any time, be revoked and he may be removed from his office in prescribed manner if it is found that such person has become disqualified under sub-section (1) of section 10. (2) Unless a disqualification referred to in sub-section (1) arises from the judgment or order of a court or tribunal of competent jurisdiction under any relevant provision of applicable law, a member or the Chairman shall not be removed or his appointment shall not be revoked without an enquiry by an impartial person or body of persons constituted in accordance with such procedure as may be prescribed by rules and after providing a reasonable opportunity to the member or the Chairman to be heard in defense. (3) A member or the Chairman may resign from his office at any time by notice in writing addressed to the division concerned. (4) A vacancy in the Commission caused by the death, resignation or removal of any, member or the Chairman shall be filled within thirty days of the occurrence of such vacancy.
