Order VII Rule 21: Consequences of failure to file address

Where a plaintiff or petitioner fails to file an address for service [the court may direct him to file such address and if he fails to do so after giving him opportunity], he shall be liable to have his suit dismissed or his petition rejected by the Court suo moto or any party may apply for an order to that effect, and the Court may make such order as it thinks just.
