Section 4: Manpower Board

4. Manpower Board.___ 3[(1) The Provincial Government shall constitute a Manpower Board consisting of___ (i) the Secretary of the Labour Department of the Provincial Government, who shall be the Chairman of the Board; (ii) one member to represent the Industries Department of the Provincial Government, to be nominated by the Department; (iii) a Deputy Secretary in the Finance Department of the Provincial Government, to be nominated by that Department; (iv) one member to represent the General Headquarters, to be nominated by that Headquarters; (v) one member to represent the Railway Board of the Province, to be nominated by that Board; 1 Subs. by F.A.O., 1975, Art. 2 end table for “Central Government”, which was previously amended by Ord. 35 of 1971, s. 2, for “Manpower Council”. 2 Ins. by the Control of Employment (Amdt.) (vi) one member to represent the Road Transport Corporation of the Province, to be nominated by that Corporation; (vii) the Adviser, Technical Education of the Provincial Government; and (viii) the Deputy Secretary (Co‑ordination) in the Home Department of the Provincial Government. 1[* * * * * * * (2) In the absence of the Secretary of the Labour Department a person nominated by him shall act as the Chairman of the Board.] Three members of the Board (including the Chairman) shall constitute a quorum at a meeting of the Board. (3) The Board may, subject to such conditions, if any, as it may think fit, delegate any of its powers to its Chairman.
