14. Tolls and charges may be remitted in special cases. The Board may, in special cases, with the previous sanction of the 1[division concerned], remit the whole or any portion of a toll, due, rate or charge leviable according to any scale for the time being in force under section 13: 1Subs. by the Port Qasim Authority (Amendment) Act, 2021 (XL of 2021), ss. 7-8. Provided that the sanction of the 1[division concerned] shall not be necessary if the remission in any one case does not exceed five thousand rupees or such larger sum as the 1[division concerned] may from time to time specify: Provided further that, in a case where the remission does not exceed two thousand rupees, the remission may be granted by the Chairman or an officer authorized by him in his behalf.
