Section 499: Power to make rules

499. Power to make rules.—(1) The Federal Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, make rules to carry out the purposes of the Chapter. (2) In particular, and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, such rules may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely :— (a) the procedure before a Court of Survey; (b) the requiring, on an appeal, of security for costs and damages; (c) the amount and application of fees; and (d) the ascertainment, in case of dispute, of the proper amount of costs.
