1. Short title, extent and commencement.— (1) This Act may be cited as the State Bank of Pakistan Act, 1956. (2) It extends to the whole of Pakistan. (3) It shall come into force at once and except section 46, shall be deemed to have taken effect on and from the twelfth day of May 1948.
