8: Lathband tenants

(1) A tenant: ― (a) who at the commencement of this Ordinance has been recorded in the record of rights as a lathband tenant; or, (b) who converts Culturable or Khushkaba lands into Sailaba lands by constructing embankments and Bundat: or, (c) who with the consent of his landlord/owner of the land instals a tubewell open surface well, persian wheel or manages to irrigate the land by a pumping machine or by any other mechanism; has a right of occupancy in the land as long as he keeps the embankments in repairs and cultivates the land whenever opportunity is offered by the rain fall.
