10. Appointment of Magistrates and Public Prosecutors. Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code, the Federal Government may, for the purposes of this Act, appoint— (a) any person to be a Magistrate of the first class within the meaning of the Code; and (b) any person or officer of the Pakistan Railways Police to be a public prosecutor within the meaning of the Code.
