7. Powers and functions of the Commission.— (1) The Commission shall exercise such powers and perform such functions as are conferred on it by or under this Act. (2) The powers and functions of the Commission under this Act shall be in addition to and not in derogation to the powers and functions of the Commission under the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan Act, 1997 (XLII of 1997).
