39. Appeal in criminal proceedings .—An appeal in criminal proceedings shall lie to the Court of Sessions within thirty days of conviction: Provided that an appeal against acquittal shall lie in accordance with the procedure prescribed under the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (Act V of 1898).
