17. Testing officers. 1[(1)] The 1[Secretary of the Division concerned] may authorise any officer by name or by virtue of office to test petroleum of which samples have been taken under this Act, or which may have been submitted to him for test by any person, and to grant certificates of the results of such tests. 1[(2) the following testing officers may be authorized under sub-section (1), namely;__ a. Director General, Director, Deputy Director, and Assistant Director of the Department of Explosives b. Chemical Examiner, Customs House, Karachi, and c. Chemical Examiner, Customs House, Lahore.]
