37. Power to acquire land.— (1) Subject to the other provisions of the Act, the rules made thereunder and the directions of the Authority, the Deputy Commissioner may, by order in writing, acquire any land for the purposes of this Act. (2) No order under subsection (1) shall be issued except on the receipt by the Deputy Commissioner of specific directions from the Authority.
