4. Penalty.—Whoever cotrnavenes any of the provisions of this Act shall, on conviction, be punishable— (a) in the case of a first conviction, with imprisonment which may extend to six months, or with fine, or with both; and (b) in the case of any subsequent conviction, with imprisonment which may extend to one year, or with fine, or with both.
