Section 47A: Agreements for the exchange of information

[47A. Agreements for the exchange of information 3[or assistance in recovery of duties.]– (1) The Federal Government may enter into bilateral or multilateral agreements with provincial governments or with governments of foreign countries for the exchange of information, including electronic exchange of information, with respect to excise duty imposed under this Act or any other law of Pakistan, or under the corresponding laws of that country and may, by notification in the official Gazette, make such provisions as may be necessary for implementing such agreements. 1[(1A) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the Board shall have power to share data or information including real time data videos, images received under the provisions of this Act with any other Ministry or Division of the Federal Government or Provincial Government, subject to such limitations and conditions an may be specified by the Board.] (2) The provisions of section 107 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 (XLIX of 2001) shall, mutatis mutandis, apply to this section. 2[(3) The Federal Government may enter into a bilateral or multilateral convention, and inter-governmental agreement or similar agreement or mechanism for assistance in the recovery of duties.]
