8. Payment to Administrator.—(1) Any amount due to a specified person or payable in respect of any abandoned property or property of which the Administrator has taken possession shall be paid to the Administrator by the person liable to pay the same. (2) Any person who makes a payment under subsection (1) shall be discharged from further liability to pay to the extent of the payment made.
