34. Powers of the Registrar in relation to certain proceedings. In any proceedings under section 32, the Registrar shall have the same powers as are vested in a court under the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (Act V of 1908), when trying a suit in respect of the following matters, namely:__ (a) enforcing attendance of a person and examining him on oath or affirmation; and (b) compelling the discovery and production of documents.
