1[27AA. Punishment for false implication.__ Where an investigating officer dishonestly and falsely involves, implicates or arrests a person alleged to have committed any scheduled offence shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years or with line or with both: Provided that action against such investigating officer shall not be taken without the prior approval of the Government.
