314. Medical inspections after embarkation in certain cases.— (1) If in any case a pilgrim ship does not proceed on her voyage within forty-eight hours after all the pilgrims have been received on board, and there is reason to suspect that any person on board is suffering from cholera or choleraic indisposition or any dangerously infectious or contagious disease, a medical inspection of all persons on board may be held in such manner as the Federal Government may direct. (2) If on such inspection any person is found to be suffering from cholera or choleraic indisposition or any dangerously infectious or contagious disease, or shows any signs of the same or any other suspicious symptoms, he shall, together with all articles belonging to him, be at once removed from the ship. (3) If the master knowingly keeps on board any pilgrim or article ordered to be removed under this section, he shall be liable to a fine which may extend to ten thousands rupees.
