2: Insertion of new section to Act No.XXXIX of 1925

In the Succession Act, 1925 (Act No.XXXIX of 1925), after section 371, the following new section shall be inserted, namely: “371-A. Issuance of Letters of Administration and Succession Certificate by National Database Registration Authority. For the purpose of this Act, the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA), in accordance with the Family Registration Certificate maintained by it, may issue letters of administration and succession certificate to the legal heirs of a deceased, in accordance with such procedure as may be provided in the National Database and Registration Authority Ordinance, 2000 (Ordinance No. VIII of 2000) and the rules made thereunder and any such letters of administration and succession certificate issued by the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) shall be deemed to be validly issued under the provisions of this Act.”.
