19. Transitional provision. Till such time as the rules and regulations are framed,— (a) the persons referred to in clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 5, and the officers and members appointed after the commencement of this Act, shall, so far as may be and with the necessary modifications, be governed by the Punjab Police Rules, 1934; and (b) the persons referred to in clause (b) of the aforesaid sub-section shall, so far as may be and with the necessary modifications, be governed by the rules governing the Railway Watch and Ward immediately before the commencement of this Act.
