17. Responsibilities of the Salis.—The Salis may— (a) before proceeding in the matter, disclose to the Court any circumstance that may likely create an impression of a bias or which may prevent him from acting promptly, whereupon the Court shall direct the parties to nominate another Salis; (b) facilitate negotiations between the parties and steer the direction of discussion with the aim of finding a mutually acceptable solution; and (c) assist the parties in reaching an agreement.
